New Co-op marks new shopping era for Maybole

  • The new supermarket created 25 jobs in Maybole

A new look Co-op supermarket opened this week to replace the old Somerfield.

A £320,000 investment has led to the new look store and the creation of 25 jobs. Minnie Gallagher from the Royal British Legion and Provost Winnie Sloan opened the supermarket and received a £100 donation from the manager.

The supermarket giant said it marks a - new era - in food shopping for the area.

All 4 majors have the price of a pint of milk standardised at 45p as did this store, after the namechange an increase of 15% to 53p, where is the justification for that, disgrace.
