Maybole swimming pool is to close its doors for a month over Christmas, as the pool gets an £80,000 upgrade.
The pool will close for longer than usual over Christmas to allow the work to be caried out. Maybole swimming pool usually closes from Christmas Eve until 2nd January each year during the quiet period, which provides the opportunity for maintenance works.
However, due to the extent of the upgrade works the pool will this year close from Thursday 24th December to Sunday 24th January 2010 inclusive.
Between 24th December-24th January, alternative facilities for those using Maybole swimming pool will be available at the Citadel, Troon and Prestwick swimming pools.

- Of course I will miss the pool. It is a pity that Girvan did not have money spent on it and now it is closed.
