Changes to bin collections in Maybole this winter
29 NovemberChanges are being introduced to bin waste collections over the winter months in Maybole, and towns across South Ayrshire.
From Thursday 1st December blue bins will be emptied every two weeks instead of the current four weekly collection frequency. Therefore, from that date you should place your blue bin out for collection on each alternate week following your green bin collection week.
You should also continue to use your black box for glass recycling until further notice. Glass should not be placed in the blue bin.
Your routine brown bin collection service is being suspended during the winter months of December, January and February. However, you may arrange to have your brown bin emptied during those winter months, should you require it by completing the brown bin uplift form or by calling 0300 123 0900.
You will only be entitled to receive one brown bin collection per month from the call-out service during the winter period.
New recycling calendars, which show all the changes, are available in from South Ayrshire’s Waste and Recycling section of the council website.
Alternatively, should you wish to have a copy posted out to you, call 0300 123 0900.
